Beginner Group Class

Our Beginner Obedience Class is perfect for dogs 6 months and older who are ready to build a solid foundation in obedience or continue developing skills learned in a puppy class. Whether you're starting fresh or looking to strengthen existing behaviors, this class is designed to help you and your dog grow together.

Throughout the course, we’ll cover essential commands such as:

Coming when called (recall)

Walking politely on leash

Sit, down, stand, and stay

Place (go to a defined space and stay there)

In addition to foundational obedience, we’ll focus on:

Impulse control

Duration of behaviors (holding commands for longer periods)

Manners in public and at home

Mouthing/biting prevention

Reducing jumping on people

How to appropriately approach people with and without dogs

Understanding when it’s okay (and not okay) to allow others to greet or pet your dog

This class offers a supportive and engaging environment where you’re encouraged to ask questions—chances are, if you're experiencing something with your dog, others are too! We're here to guide you through real-life challenges and help you build a confident, well-mannered companion.
